There was a huge turn-out of athletes today for the first in the series of three trials for the CAC Age Group Championships 2013. Note that each event has a schedule of points that match with the performance obtained by the athlete. The better the performance the higher the points. Field events tend to yiled more points per incremental improvement than track events.

The AAB looks forward to seeing you tomorrow April 13, for the first Multi-Events Trial in the series of three. Please see attached schedule of events for tomorrow.

Note, the main intention of the first trial is to expose the athletes to the various events with emphasis on events that are new to them. Athletes are encouraged to come out and try, even if they are not familiar with an event.

Dear Member Coaches,  Clubs and Schools,

The AAB is inviting athletes in the U13 and U15 age groups (both male and female) to participate in the first trials for the CAC Age Group Championships to be held in Curacao from 29-30 June 2013.

These trials will be held at Combermere School on Saturday, April 13th at  10:00am.  Registration starts at 9:30am.

This is a  Multi-Event Championship and each athlete is required to compete in the following events:-

Team Barbados is on their way to the Thomas A Robinson Stadium to bring the curtain down on the final day of the events .

After dominating the local scene in the One Accord Plaza 10K Race, Jerome Balckett and Carlie Pipe went to Tobago compliments the Athletics Association of Barbados to take on the best in the region. Jerome placed 7th with a personal best time of 34.09 and Carlie placed 4th in the females.
The AAB congratulates these outstanding athletes and all of the persons who support their athletic development.
